Jun 20, 2013 · If all goes well, I should be attending the Sportbike Northwest Rally on an '06 K1200S. I had a K1200S, and am now on a K1200GT. Yes, the S is quite a bit more sporty, weighs less, different geometry/ergonomics, so seemed to corner much easier, as well as slightly different HP rating and gearing.

May 6, 2007 · This past September, I purchased the Verholen bar risers for the K1200R (bought them from A&S). Had them installed on my bike (per the instructions) by the dealer I bought the bike from -- costs about 3 hours in labor. Oct 19, 2009 · Both K1200GTs and K1300GTs have their differences, good and bad. In addition to the horsepower increases, BMW made a variety of subtle improvements to the K1300GTs over the K1200GTs. Light is on and dealership confirmed I need the ABS pump - however - it would cost more than the bike is worth Over $3k installed. Part number 34517685901 according to the dealership.

I don't believe the seals in our clutch hydraulic system are compatible with DOT 4. Mineral oil is available from your favourite BMW or KTM store. ditto on the NO DOT 4.

May 19, 2020 · The other major change is the power delivery. The 1300 is much more linear hand has more low end power. You generally ride these bikes at 4000-5000 rpm and the 1300 has much better throttle response at these revs. The 1200 feels like it has 3 sections to its delivery.
